Squad History
Formed mid May 2007 after the dissolution of another Strat mission squad with some new ideas and different organizational approach. The axis has serious deficiencies on certain missions, and this is the squad that will turn it around!
Other information
Not only strategic factory bombing, but use of He111 for tactical targets, as well as others. It also has a group for bomber escorting tactics, and Troop/Paratrooper delivery missions. The name is based on a real life Luftwaffe squad formed in the mid 1930's, equipped with He-111, Do-17's, and later Ju-88's. The "Edelweiss" is a rare flower that grows in the Alps, and is a mark of elite units.[[Category:]]
