Infantry Brigade

An Infantry Brigade is a type of unit in Battleground Europe. It can be found as part of a Division in the British Expeditionary Force, the Armée de Terre and the Heer. You will find two Infantry Brigades per Division.

Supply

As the name suggests the primary units of an Infantry Brigade is Infantry, it has more then 3 times the number of Riflemen then an Armoured Brigade and 10 times the number of Light Machine Gunners, Anti-Tank Riflemen, Mortarmen, Snipers and 5 times the number of Submachine Gunners in the Army Base supply.

An infantry brigade will typically have the same quantity and types of Anti-Tank Guns and Anti-Aircraft Guns as an Armoured Brigade.

However, for armour supply, an Infantry Brigade has around three quarters of an Armoured Brigades supply. This had led to complaints amongst some of the playerbase who think an Infantry Brigade should have no armoured vehicles or few at most.

However the armour is usually made up of lower tier armour.

Out of Game

In an OrBat an Infantry Brigade, along with Armoured Brigades and Divisional Headquarters, will have three positions. A Commanding Officer - with rank of Brigadier General or equivalent - an Executive Officer - with the rank of Colonel or equivalent - and a Deputy Executive Officer who also has the rank of Colonel or equivalent.
