Airbourne Brigade

An Airbourne Brigade is a type of unit in Battleground Europe. It can be found as part of a Airbourne Division in the British Expeditionary Force, the Armée de Terre and the Heer. You will find two Airbourne Brigades per Airbourne Division. Each Allied country has one Airbourne Division while the Axis have two Airbourne Divisions.

Supply

An Airbourne Brigade has Airbourne Infantry as its primary unit with a Paratrooper plane - the Douglas C-47 for the B.E.F and the Junkers 52 for the French and German paratroop forces.

Both an Airbourne Division Headquarters and Airbourne Brigades have the same supply, 50 planes per unit, 400 Airbourne Riflemen, 100 Airbourne Submachine Gunners and 25 of everything else.

Mission Creation

Similar to an Air Brigade you create a mission at the Airfield. Before 1.28 you had to have a seperate mission for planes and paratroopers, one at the Airfield and one at the Armybase.

In the High Command

In an OrBat an Airbourne Brigade, along with Armoured Brigades, Infantry Brigades and Divisional Headquarters, will have three positions. A Commanding Officer - with rank of Brigadier General or equivalent - an Executive Officer - with the rank of Colonel or equivalent - and a Deputy Executive Officer who also has the rank of Colonel or equivalent.
